The diminishing chances of President Donald Trump winning his reelection battle has not only brought frustration to the embattled president, in the United States, it is also putting one of his leading campaigners in Nigeria in a quandary.

Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, the former minister of aviation and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has used his Twitter handle to propagate the desires of the American president.

However, with Trump’s path to victory narrowing with the latest developments in Pennsylvania, Nevada, Michigan and Georgia sobering many of the supporters, Fani-Kayode is, however, unshaken in his desire for a second term for Mr. Trump.

Just after it emerged that Democratic Party candidate, Joe Biden had overtaken Trump in Pennsylvania, Mr. Fani-Kayode issued a tweet asking Mr. Trump to go to the Supreme Court to stop the vote counts.

His tweet was, however, faced with a backlash from his twitter followers.

GWG recalls that so far the results announced so far puts President Trump at a distinct disadvantage but it does not completely write him off.

While a twitter user identified as endsars now@Iniestapeter was of the opinion that going to court was the way of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) another identified as Ohiri Oric@ohiri_oric teased “I think Trump should contact our supreme court Governor cc @hope.”

PaxQal in his reaction to the former minister said: “Their supreme court is not same as ours.”

Dee fore in his own reaction said:  “This is not a Nigerian election where you take everything to the Supreme Court. Please can you focus on the state of things in Nigeria which you’ve been a participant? Thank you.”

Many others also taunted Fani-Kayode saying that the moment they identified him with Trump that they knew that the incumbent president was headed for electoral disaster.
