Why My ADC Collapsed – Obaseki
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State on Thursday assured that his Aide-De-Camp who slumped during his inauguration for a second term was recovering and is now fine.
Speaking to Channels Television on Thursday evening, the governor said:
“He is fine and I think he was a bit exhausted.”
Asked what would be his priority in the first 100 days, the governor said he would focus on the civil service because he would depend on the service to deliver his election promises.
According to him the government would hire 3,000 teachers and 1,000 persons into the core civil service to the point of lowering the average age of the civil service from 47 years to something much lower.
“We intend to hire new professionals into the civil service and bring in much younger ones to bring down the average age from about 47 years now to something much lower.”
