A majority of those in government around Muhammadu Buhari are thieves, and as such the president cannot deliver his genuine intentions for the populace, Senator Ali Ndume, the lawmaker representing Borno South Senatorial District has said.

Speaking in an interview, Ndume said that those he described as kleptocrats in government are betraying the government of President Buhari.

Senator Ndume disclosed this on Sunday when he appeared on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics saying that “the president is a genuine person that has the interest of the common man at heart”.

“He has integrity and the competence but unfortunately, the kleptocrats in the government have formed the majority and therefore are betraying the laudable policies that the president wants to implement”.

According to Ndume, President Buhari came to secure the country, fight corruption and to provide infrastructure and according to him, the president has achieved all these.

The problem according to Ndume is implementation of certain policies and since the president can’t do everything himself, he has appointed some persons as aides but they have failed him.
