Uzodinma Appoints Egbuchulem DG IBC

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has approved the appointment of Mr. James Egbuchulem as the new Director-General of the Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC).

Mr. Egbuchulem takes over from Barr. Ezekiel Opara with immediate effect, a statement from the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Oguwike Nwachuku said on Monday.

Mr. Egbuchulem the statement said hails from Umunoha in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.

He was at a time pioneer General Manager of Pacesetter FM, Umuahia; former General Manager of Heartland FM, Owerri, and Commercial Services and Comptroller Marketing of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Enugu.

Mr. Egbuchulem also acquitted himself in other capacities as Radio Programme Presenter, Assistant Director, Programmes, and Manager Public Affairs at FRCN.

Governor Uzodimma according to the CPS expects Mr. Egbuchulem to bring to bear in his new place of assignment (IBC), his wealth of experience, in line with the government’s three ‘R’ Mantra of rehabilitation, reconstruction and recovery.
