Police Nab Leader Of Gang Who Killed APC Chairman

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr Abdullahi Sule has announced the arrest of Mohammed Usman popularly known as Papa Nura, a notorious gang leader for allegedly masterminding the recent killing of the All Progressives Party (APC) chairman, Mr. Philip Tatari Shekwo.
The governor revealed this on Tuesday at the Employable and Entrepreneurship programme and job fair for Nasarawa Youths attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
GWG had earlier reported that Governor Sule while receiving the national leadership of Trade Union Congress in Lafia recently, disclosed that three of those involved in the killing of Shekwo were killed while nine others allegedly involved in the gruesome killing were also apprehended.
According to the governor the suspected gang leader was arrested in a village called Assakio and has since confessed to have killed the Nasarawa APC chairman.
“Just 10 minutes ago I was informed that one Mohammed Usman popularly known as Papa Nura, a notorious gang leader who killed APC chairman has been arrested.
“He was arrested in a village called Assakio. It is the exact place we were expecting to arrest him and he has been arrested,” Governor Sule said.
It would recalled Philip Tatari Shekwo, Nasarawa APC chairman was kidnapped at his residence in Lafia recently and was later killed by his abductors. His  body was found behind his house the following day.
