Governor Suspends CoS After Controversial Video

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has ordered the immediate suspension of his chief of staff, Dr. Anthony Agbazuere. This was announced in a press statement on Sunday.

A statement issued by the secretary to the state government, Chris Ezem while saying the suspension was with immediate effect, however, did not give reason for the action.

”Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the immediate suspension from office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr ACB Agbazuere,” the short statement read.

The suspension followed viral images of Dr. Agbazuere spraying money on a self-acclaimed prophet, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje.

The video showed Agbazuere spraying naira notes on the prophet in a place suspected to be the COS’ office.

Odumeje, a is a popular and controversial Onitsha-based clergyman with a reputation among the Nollywood practitioners and he is the leader of Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministry.
