PDP Speaks On Jonathan Defecting To APC

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on Thursday formally reacted to reports of a political romance between President Goodluck Jonathan and the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Speaking on Thursday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan said that Dr. Jonathan was politically savvy enough as not to be taken in by the charms of the APC.

“Why should we be bothered about people who are working on innuendos and are claiming they are working. Where is the action?

“Because some governors went to visit (former) President Goodluck Jonathan on his birthday, then, it is concluded that he has joined APC? For me, there are many things I cannot say in the public but I want to assure Nigerians that former President Goodluck Jonathan is politically savvy enough to know he has no space in the All Progressives Congress,” Ologbondiyan stated on a television programme in Lagos on Thursday.

The permutations on Jonathan follow his eligibility to contest the 2023 presidential election having served one term and contested but lost a bid for a second term.
