Insecurity: North Questions Blind Loyalty To Buhari
By Emmanuel Adigwe
Following the Friday attack on Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State, the North’s blind loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari was coming into serious question on Sunday.
GWG recalls that unknown gunmen attacked Government Science Secondary School, Kankara in Katsina State and allegedly abducted some students. The exact number of students abducted is yet to be confirmed but the police have since confirmed that the school was attacked.
This development has sparked reactions as some Nigerians, mostly from the North were this weekend questioning the blind loyalty to the Buhari phenomenon.
That political phenomenon with the famed 12 million votes accredited to the president in past elections had formed an impregnable support base for the president.
However, the relative silence of Northerners on twitter in the wake of the attacks in the North as compared to the time of President Goodluck Jonathan was at the weekend turning into an issue for some. Is the North quiet and allowing the destruction of itself because of its love for Buhari?
On Sunday many Nigerians many of them from the North went on twitter to question what they described as the blind loyalty to the president in the wake of the deteriorating security situation.
