4,176 Lagosians were as at Friday receiving treatment for Covid-19 at home, in Lagos, the State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi disclosed on Friday.
He did not however elaborate on the treatment.
Abayomi stated this on Friday via his Twitter handle, @ProfAkinAbayomi.
He noted that the second wave infections is already here in Nigeria.
The Commissioner also disclosed that 115 cases were in isolation.
Abayomi wrote, “Total number of #COVID19 recovery in communities – 22,789; cases currently under isolation – 115; active cases under home-based care – 4,176; new #COVID19 related death – 3; total deaths – 240.”
With the new figure, total number of deaths from COVID-19 in the state is now 240.
Abayomi identified Eti-Osa, Ajeromi, Surulere, Amuwo- Odofin and Mushin as the top high burden local government areas in the state.
He advised residents to avoid unnecessary movement, to stay safe, avoid crowded places and celebrate responsibly.
