Court Orders Sowore Remanded In Kuje
A Magistrate court in Abuja has ordered Omoyele Sowore remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre. He is to be remanded with four others after they were arraigned by the Federal Government on a three-count charge.
The Wuse Zone 2 Court, Abuja court will hear their formal bail application on Tuesday, January 5, 2020.
Sowore was arrested by the police after he led a crossover protest against bad governance on New Year’s Eve in Abuja.
He is being arraigned alongside four others on three charges of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and attempting to incite others.
Sowore Remanded because of revolutionary trait?
All five persons pleaded pleaded not guilty to the charges. Sowore was attired on a top shirt that had the inscription: Revolution Now.
