FFK Offers N1m For Video of Kukah Attacking Islam

Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has promised N1 million to anyone with video evidence of Bishop Matthew Kukah attacking Islam as has been alleged by some critics.

Fani-Kayode has as such decried the demand on Bishop Matthew Kukah to apologise or leave Sokoto, saying that Kukah won’t apologise because he did not attack Islam.

GWG reports that the Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Kukah, had in his Christmas homily last December accused the Buhari of nepotism saying that there could have been a coup if a non-northern Muslim president did a fraction of what Buhari has done as president.

The statement of Bishop Kukah has sparked reactions from some in the polity with the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) calling for the prosecution of Kukah for allegedly calling for a coup.

Also, the Muslim Solidarity Forum entered the fray when it enjoined Kukah to apologise for his alleged attack on Islam or leave Sokoto State.

Reacting, Fani-Kayode took to his Twitter handle saying that the Bishop did not say anything wrong and would not apologise and he urged those calling for the bishop to apologise to stop and look for peace.

“If anyone can provide me with a video of Kukah calling for violence against Muslims or inciting people against Islam I will give him one million naira,” he wrote on twitter for evidence of Kukah attacking Islam.

He wrote: “Bishop Hassan Kukah did not attack Islam & has nothing to apologise about.

“He has always sought for religious tolerance & peaceful co-existence between Christians & Muslims. Those that demand that he “must apologise” or “leave Sokoto” must mind their utterances & keep the peace.

The presidency on its part entered the fray late on Wednesday when it chided those calling on Kukah to leave Sokoto as misadvised saying that Kukah’s fundamental rights to live anywhere must be upheld.

Kukah on his part has asked his accusers to show where he attacked Islam.
