President Adoni Bezek Immobilised

And Adonibezek said, Threescore and ten kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered their meat under my table: as I have done, so God hath requited me. And THEY BROUGHT HIM TO JERUSALEM, and THERE he DIED. Judges 1:7

Having been served his own just retribution with the cutting away of his thumb  and his great toes, President Adoni Bezek was now in a position that he could not war, walk or work.

He now became a liability and THEY carried him.

It is a matter of speculation who carried him. Whether it is the Israelites or his own soldiers we cannot say.

Observe that it is not until verse 8 that the Israelites were able to take Jerusalem.

So if it is the Israelites that were the THEY that carried him, they would have held him like a prize of war, powerless, useless a prisoner wholly dependent on his captors for daily living with the blood oozing from his severed thumb and toes.

If it were his people, you could imagine some of his people grasping “Is this the man that once ruled us with fear upon us?”

The day after a former Nigerian dictator was mortally wounded in adultery after eating the forbidden apple, figuratively and practically, as he was BROUGHT to Kano for burial that night his body was casually put in the cargo hold, a senior army officer who only hours ago trembled at the sight of that feared former head of state saw the irony of the corpse being put away from the presence of the living!

Beloved, may God keep you from being mortally wounded on account of your frivolities that you would become useless to be carried about. That those who are living will not look at you in contempt.

Do u see how some today are carried about by alcohol practically? They are looked down on with contempt!

Some are carried about by lusts for money, sex and the flesh and their lust have brought contempt to them either as Managing Director or otherwise.

Beloved, gird your loins that you may not be brought down as a casualty of war.

You will not be a casualty if you follow the way of Israelites at this time by seeking the Lord on the way to claim your land.
