Video: Lai, Abdulrazaq APC Factions Fight In Govt House

The dispute between rival factions of the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC led by the minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on Wednesday overflowed into mayhem inside the Government House.

Supporters of the two factions fought with one another ahead of a meeting between the registration panel from Abuja and party stakeholders in the state.

The venue of the mayhem was the Banquet Hall of the Government House which ordinarily should have been a safe place.

GWG, however, gathered that the trouble started at the gate as supporters of the minister alleged a systematic plot to stop them from entering the meeting venue.

However, they were able to overpower the security men and found themselves inside the hall to the shock of the governor’s allies.

Once inside the hall trouble broke out as rival faction members took up chairs as weapons against one another.

No fewer that ten party members sustained serious injuries while the crisis lasted.
