Buhari Gives Adamu Three Months Extension As IGP

President Muhammadu Buhari has drawn back on the alleged attempt to appoint AIG Zanna Ibrahim as the next Inspector General of Police and extended the tenure of Mohammed Adamu as IG by three months.

The minister of Police Affairs, Mohammad Dingyadi disclosed the extension of Adamu’s tenure to State House correspondents on Thursday.

The minister said the extension was necessary to give room for the proper selection of a successor.
