GEJ, Atiku Cheer As Buhari Critic Welcomes Baby
Reno Omokri who served as an aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan but has become better known as a harsh critic of President Muhammadu Buhari has welcomed a baby girl. Fittingly, the new baby has been named Ebele after Dr. Jonathan. Jonathan was among those to cheer as the Buhari critic welcomed his baby.
Among the most prominent Nigerians to congratulate him on the new birth were President Jonathan, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and Senator Ben Murray-Bruce.
The first of the trio to congratulate him was Atiku who in a tweet said:
I congratulate @renoomokri and his wife on the birth early this morning of their daughter, Ebele, named after former President @GEJonathan
Following him was Senator Murray-Bruce who said:
@renoomokri, I am excited at the new and beautiful addition to your family. Your child is surely blessed to have you as a father. My best wishes to you and your family.
Following him was President Jonathan who said:
Congratulations to @renoomokri and his wife, on the birth of their daughter very early this morning. I am grateful that the couple have chosen to name their daughter Ebele, after me. I thank God for the safe delivery and that mother and child are healthy and thriving.

Several other Nigerians have also been reacting to the development with several lauding him on the new birth.
One of the most poignant greetings came from a twitter user with the handle @Jaymosings who in appreciation of Omokri pledged to also name his child in the future after the former presidential aide.
Congratulations to you sir @renoomokri on the arrival of your blessing. I pray that God guide, protect, favour and bless the new born baby and the family in all aspect in Jesus name. (Amen). Folded hands
The birth came following Omokri’s recent trip to Switzerland. Omokri is one of the sharpest critics of the Buhari administration with a large twitter following operating from California in the United States.
