Apostle Suleman’s Third Jet And His Tongue

Celebrated evangelist, Apostle Johnson Suleman was for the second day on Thursday being dragged on social media after he claimed to have bought a third private jet during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in the course of a sermon. Apostle Suleman’s third jet and his tongue became issues after the sermon went viral.

It was especially so as he claimed to have enjoyed himself during the lockdown and prayed that the pandemic should not end.

It is the second time in recent times that Apostle Suleman who heads the Omega Fire Ministry with headquarters in Auchi, Edo State would come on the spotlight in social media.

A former follower and pastor under him, Mike Davids had last January petitioned the authorities with the allegation that  Apostle Suleman was sleeping with his wife, Faith Edeko. It was an allegation that many dismissed. Even after Davids released an audiotape in which Apostle Suleman was heard shouting invectives at Davids with a threat to make him disappear, he was not as much challenged on social media.

Suleman was heard in the audiotape admitting that he had a “temper problem” and warning Davids to get off his phone.

The apostle subsequently apologised for his words even if he admitted that the tape had been doctored to put him in bad light.

However, in the latest development, a viral video of Apostle Suleman’s third jet bought during the COVID-19 lockdown has got many people wondering.

Apostle Suleman admitted in the video that he had a swell time at home and even prayed for the pandemic to continue. His assertion has got many people talking on twitter.

While some reasonably argued that the tape and his words were taken out of context with some defending that he did not mean for many to continue dying, the explanation has been of no respite as Apostle Suleman continued to trend on twitter through Wednesday and Thursday as an example of the Men of God dealing in the pleasures of the world at the expense of souls.

Another twitter user with the identity, Name cannot be blank wrote:

Pastoral work is very very stressful. Most had lighter schedule and less programmes, virtual ministration. Honestly, many of us (secular workers) enjoyed the reduced work the pandemic brought too. He also said in a video that he had less expenses so he had more money.

Apostle Suleman’s third jet was a no-no for OdogwuPrince in his twitter post said:

He gifted his wife a Petrol Station as a Birthday Gift now he has bought a Jet in Covid & was praying for a Pandemic killing people not to end because he is buying a Jet to add to his previous 2 while some of his members were trying to Survive the Cruel Disease

How is he an “Apostle”? What type of “Apostle” of Jesus Christ thinks/speaks this way?

G E N I U S decided to restrain himself on the claim that there was a context to the clip of Apostle Suleman’s third jet and him enjoying himself.

If not that this video have given the assertion a context which explains what he means, I would have said sometime terrible to this man

However, that was not an excuse acceptable for Faith Adigwe who said

We thank God this isn’t the gospel of Christ. Once again as long as people refuse to know God by reading their Bibles, they’ll follow any voice that speaks in a microphone or deny Christ based on that same voice.

Apostle Suleman established his Omega Ministries in 2004 after serving for years as an assistant pastor at the Amour of God Ministries in Lagos. He has been a powerful and influential influence in Nigeria’s political terrain.

Just before the Edo State governorship election he was courted by the two major governorship candidates in Edo State, Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
