School Kidnaps: Ganduje’s Media Aide Slams APC

Ganduje aide quits APC

Salihu Tanko-Yaasai, spokesman to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has again lampooned the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC as a failure, especially in the area of security. Ganduje’s media aide slammed the APC following Friday morning Zamfara school kidnap.

Tanko-Yakasai in a series of tweets following the latest mass school abduction in Zamfara on Friday morning said it was evident that the Buhari led APC Federal Government had failed in its primary responsibility of securing the lives and properties of Nigerians.

The outspoken media aide is, however, not new to criticism of the failures of the APC having last year been suspended for weeks after similarly coming out to react to the Federal Government’s response to the #EndSARS protests.

He was recalled weeks later.

Noting that the worsening state of insecurity was unacceptable, he said that the government after every serious incident condemns it and withdraws to slumber.

“Clearly, we as APC government, at all levels, have failed Nigerians in the number 1 duty we were elected to do which is to secure lives & properties. Not a single day goes by without some sort of insecurity in this land. This is a shame! Deal with terrorists decisively or resign,” Ganduje’s media aide said.

“Each time another tragedy happens, we lament, condemn, create hashtag, the govt pretends to do something, no concrete steps to prevent reoccurrence, and then we repeat the process. To what end? Where are those saddled with the responsibility?

“Just last week it was #freekagaraboys, today we have a new hashtag #RescueJangebeGirls, who knows tomorrow what hashtag we will come up with? Perhaps one for ourselves when we get caught up in one of these daring attacks. This is sad & heartbreaking, I feel helpless & hopeless.”

The assertions have been met with mixed reactions on Twitter.
