Tuchel Chelseea future

Thomas Tuchel has established a new Chelsea record of being the first coach to go 14 games without a defeat. He did it fantastically with a stellar performance in which Chelsea reduced current La Liga leaders, Atletico Madrid to ordinariness with a 2-0 home win in the second round of the UEFA Champions League.

The victory pushed Chelsea into the quarter finals of the elite tourney for the first time since 2014.

Even more significantly, Chelsea have conceded only two goals in that spell, one of them being an own goal from the improved Antonio Rudiger.

Tuchel took over from the Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard after some disappointing run of results from the English man.

Tuchel barely had twenty-four hours to get to know his first team squad before his first match against Wolves which ended in a goalless draw.

Since then, he has led Chelsea to face off some of the more formidable teams around including Manchester United, Liverpool, Everton, Leeds and Atletico Madrid twice. In that run, conceded ZERO goals, winning four and drawing two.

A lot of the Chelsea players have also found their form and most noticeably, the German duo of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.

The Chelsea defense has also seen a new shape since after the arrival of Tuchel. The defence has been shaped by an impregnable three man central defense with players like Zouma, Azpliqueta, Christensen and Rudiger all impressing when called upon. The incredible Thiago Silva has, however, remained missing due to injury.

However, despite the impressive form, there is the belief that Chelsea are yet to hit their peak especially given the fact that the attack has remained the weakest part of the team with the forwards often misfiring in front of goal.
