Teacher Disappears With N2m WAEC Enrolment Fees In Edo

An unknown private school teacher in Edo State has allegedly escaped with N2 million meant for the enrolment of students for the forthcoming West African Examination Senior Secondary School Examinations (WASSCE).

The incident was said to have occurred at Gilgal Private School, located at Iguobazuwa the headquarters of Ovia South-west Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that due to lack of commercial banks in the area, the money was handed over to the teacher for safe keeping.

This abnormality led to one of the parents raising the alarm following the disappearance of the teacher. The proprietor of the said school it was gathered has been arrested by police operatives of Iguobazuwa Division.
