A twenty-four-year-old Amina Aliyu alleged to have killed her co-wife has now been fingered in the death of two of her step-daughters. The two girls from her husband’s first marriage died under a mysterious inferno that torched the family residence in 2018.

Mrs. Amina Aliyu was accused of killing her new co-wife, Fatima Aliyu by bludgeoning her with a weapon and thereafter setting fire on her in her residence.

Mrs. Fatima Aliyu had married Aliyu Dayi only about 60 days before she met her untimely death in the hands of her Amina, the first wife.

The sorrowing husband, who fingered Amina in the death of his two step-daughters born by a previous wife now divorced, said the circumstances of the death of his latest wife were similar to that in which his two daughters died. They also died in a mysterious fire.

The husband, Aliyu Dayi, told Daily Trust that the manner at which she killed the new wife suggested that she was responsible for the death of his two daughters who died in a fire incident in 2018.

In narrating what happened, he said that he was called sometime around 3.00 p.m. last Tuesday about a fire outbreak in the house. According to him, he didn’t see any sign of fire incident but when he went in he met the new wife dead.

“From my observation, she was hit on different parts of her body. Unfortunately, when they tried to burn the house with her corpse, the house didn’t burn.

“When I discovered she was dead, we reported at the Tundun Wada police station. All accusing fingers were pointed at my wife as the prime suspect. In fact, my first wife killed her,” he said in fingering Amina in the killing of the co-wife.

Explaining why he now suspected Amina in the death of his two step daughters on November 28, 2018, he said

“According to him, “I married her on 30th May, 2015, and she hasn’t been violent before. I divorced my other wife in 2016 but lost 2 of my children,  Fatimah and Salamatu Aliyu, on 28th November, 2018, in a fire incident. And now that my new wife has died, I’m now suspecting her. What happened was purely a case of jealousy, and she didn’t reject the wife when I married her,” the sorrowing husband said of Amina now accused to have killed her co-wife.
