Policemen Killed As Gunmen Hit Enugu Police Station

Two policemen were reportedly killed when gunmen attacked the Divisional Police Station in Adani, in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State in the early hours of Wednesday.

The attack came 24 hours after news of the attack of the Police Zonal Headquarters, Zone 13, Ukpo, Anambra State was attacked.

Besides the two reportedly killed, a number of other policemen were also injured during the attack.

The attack is upon the wave of attacks on security infrastructure in the Southeast.

Remarkably, in all the attacks, no single individual has been apprehended in the wave of attacks.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, the group which has been blamed for the attacks has denied the claim saying that the attacks were inspired by security agencies to give IPOB a bad name.
