Immediate past Nigerian president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Mrs. Patience Jonathan were on song on social media on Tuesday morning as Nigerians compared the empathy radiated by them in office with that of the incumbent, President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha Buhari.

Mrs. Jonathan was singled out for carrying out her duties with a mixture of comedy and confidence as First Lady with some Nigerians re-echoing her most outstanding one-liner, ” This thing you are doing, there is God ooo!”

The majority of those following and commenting on the trend appeared to be disposed that life under the Jonathans was better despite the challenges they had at that time.

However, there was a particular exception with a twitter user with the identity “20-10-2020⚘” and tweeting at @Omosalewa with the flag of the “Al-Qaeda Peoples Congress, APC” who slammed supporters of Dr. and Mrs. Jonathan saying that the administration was neck deep in corruption.

According to the lady, neither Jonathan nor Buhari could be described as good.

The twitter fight was started by Achalugo Fine who tweeting at @ani_berny had in the light of the spate of killings in the country had said:

By now Dame patience Jonathan would have been addressing families who have lost their members, she’d probably be crying then later at night @GEJonathan  would give a national apology. A concerned couple. Nigeria was their priority, we miss you both.

Her tweet was against the background of the silence of the president who aides have said has his style.

Achalugo Fine was, however, immediately rebuffed by “20-10-2020⚘” who tweeting at @Omosalewa said that Jonathan was not any better, saying:

Pls GEJ wasn’t any better. It is just sad that Nigerians have always been faced with the dilemma of choosing between the devil & the deep blue sea. You say Nigeria was their priority yet they looted the nations wealth & impoverished Nigerians. Abeg, both GEJ & GMB are failures Cross mark.

Responding to her, Achalugo Fine Wine glass said:

Please show me where he looted, have you seen his place at otokutu, please stop this belittle agenda. He looted whereas standard of living was sweet and sufficient. I prefer a thief to a murderer and a terrorist.

Several other twitter users took up support for the Jonathans with DazzleDizzy symbol @Toriaa__a saying:

But we all took them for granted when they where in power. Imagine how everyone was shouting Change till they ended up electing Buhari

Others also tweeted thus:

#EndSARS @Tiz_Beatz

You guys better not repeat the same mistake with Tinubu this coming 2023. That’s all I know

20-10-2020⚘Rose @Omosalewa returning insisted that President Jonathan wasn’t any better saying:
