Anambra PDP governorship aspirant, Senator Uche Ekwunife has lauded her husband, Chief Larry Ekwunife for providing the moral beacon she said has enabled her to attain her political goals in life.

The senator made the commendation as she lauded fathers on the occasion of Father’s Day in the Catholic Church on Sunday, May 2, 2021.

While felicitating with fathers, she said that the importance and value of fatherhood in the family are irreplaceable. She stressed that the commemoration of this year’s father’s sunday presents a great opportunity to honour the ideals of fatherhood which were designated by God.

In the statement issued by her media assistant, Kingsley Ubani, she said that fathers deserve to be celebrated because of their crucial roles in the family.

The Senator as such urged fathers to always show endless love, teach and guide their children to become good ambassadors of the society.

In a rare display of her family in the public, the lawmaker paid special tribute to her husband, Chief Larry Ekwunife (Ochendo), appreciating him for his undying love and continuous support. She described Chief Ekwunife who is also known as Ozo Okutaoluoibe as the pillar of their home, noting that he is a major contributor to the successes she has so far recorded in her political career. She expressed her love for him, and prayed God to sustain him as he continues to play the role of a father, teacher and mentor to their lovely children.

While emphasizing that the demand of fatherhood is enormous, Ekwunife enjoined fathers to exemplify good moral values, and remain beckons of sustenance, financial assistance and protection to their families.

The Igbo-Ukwu born Senator while celebrating with fathers advised them to ensure they balance their work and business demands with their duties to the family.

Concluding, Ekwunife prayed God to bless and provide for fathers to continue to cater for their families. She wished all the Catholic fathers happy celebrations.
