Conquest in midweek over French outfit PSG booked Manchester City a place in the Champions League final against premiership side, Chelsea. It is the first time that City will be appearing in the final of the elite European league.

But before that final, City boss, Pep Guardiola is aiming to wrap up his hold on the English Premier League with a victory, this Saturday over Chelsea. It is the teaser before the Istanbul Champions League final.

Manchester City has every reason to be cautious in the approach to the Saturday English league game as they go into the game. Chelsea denied Guardiola the dream of the Quadruple when the club dispatched Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final.

Since then, the Citizens has been spectacular, winning five consecutive competitive matches by scoring an average of  1.8 goals per game, while netting four times between the 55th and 65th minute across their last three.

A major concern for them will be their recent inability to keep clean sheets at home in their last five games. Although, they have prevented Chelsea from scoring in three of their last five encounters.

Chelsea, continue their meteoric rise under the tutelage of Thomas Tuchel, who has led them to the Champions League final for the first time in 11 years, booked a place in the FA Cup final, and became the first manager to keep 11 clean sheets in his first 15 games in the Premier League. That is besides other enviable records he has garnered since taking over from Frank Lampard.

Beating Guardiola on Saturday will make the Champions League final something to ponder. Meanwhile, Tuchel has a poor head-to-head record against the City boss, losing four times, winning once and has drawn once against him.

On the road, Chelsea have been brilliant, often securing the tie before the 60th minute. Nine of their last ten Premier League away goals were scored before the 60th minute.

Players To Watch: Ferran Torres has hit the target in two of City’s last three Premier League matches. For Chelsea, Kai Havertz has been producing the goals with three goals in three league appearances including two opening goals.
