Ekwunife Commissions Road Project, Makes Vow

Senator Uche Ekwunife representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, on Saturday commissioned a road project at Ifitedunu in Dunukofia local government area of Anambra State.

The road which is named, Izuchukwu Obi road was among the over 20 road projects the federal lawmaker attracted to the Senatorial District in 2020, according to a statement by her campaign outfit.

The campaign described the delivery of the road as another practical display of her efforts to deliver impactful dividends of democracy to constituents.

 GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Ekwunife, Dr. Tony Nwoye, Senator Ugochukwu Uba, Obiora Okonkwo are among aspirants in contention for the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming congress of the PDP.

The statement disclosed that Ekwunife before commissioning the road project paid homage to HRH Dr Emeka Ilouno, the traditional ruler of the community, restated that the essence of governance is to impact positively on the lives of the people.

She said that she would continue to utilize every means within her disposal to address the developmental needs of communities in the state.

The Igbo-Ukwu born Senator re-emphasised the need to conduct local government election so as to build a sustainable grassroots developmental drive in local communities. She used the opportunity to sympathize with the traditional ruler over the fire incident in his palace and called for support for the security agencies to ensure adequate protection of lives and property of citizens.
