Three Killed As Gunmen Raze Delta Police Station

The attacks on the security infrastructure of the Federal Government spread to Delta State early on Sunday reportedly leaving three policemen dead during an attack on Nsukwa Police Divisional Headquarters, Aniocha South LGA.

The attack reportedly took place around 1.00 a.m. and caused a collapse of part of the police station while the fate of a detainee in the police station is still unknown.

The gunmen according to sources were said to have arrived the police station on foot from the neighbouring forest and promptly taken to hitting the police station. One source said that the shooting lasted for about one hour before an uneasy calm settled on the community.

A human rights activist simply known as Harrison was said to have reported the attack on his official page, saying:

“Nsukwa Divisional Police Headquarters, Aniocha South LGA,Delta State burnt down. About 9 Police Officers and a suspect in custody reportedly lose their lives!.”

GreenWhiteGreen GWG gathered that among the casualties were an inspector, sergeant and a corporal.
