Senator Victor Umeh has given strong endorsement for the governorship aspiration of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo describing him as the best of the lot seeking to ticket of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA for the election.

Senator Umeh spoke alongside the members representing Anaocha, Dunukofia and Njikoka Federal Constituency and Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo and Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, respectively, who also expressed similar views. They described Prof. Soludo as the best for the party come November 6, election.

The three APGA chieftains spoke at an event organized by Hon. Nwankwo, in his Enugwu-Ukwu, country home to draw support for Prof. Soludo towards clinching the APGA ticket for the governorship election in the State.

While Senator Umeh, traced Prof. Soludo’s serial endorsements to the fact that he is the most qualified, Nwankwo, described Prof. Soludo as a man with intimidating qualities.

Umeh said: “Prof. Soludo is preferred because he understands the fundamentals and basic needs of the people as well as the APGA political philosophy as propounded by the founding fathers, which makes the party the best alternative for the Igbo struggle.”

Stressing the need for APGA, to elect an outstanding candidate who has the capacity to win the November governorship election, Senator Umeh noted that the opposition parties were desperate to take over the governance of Anambra State from APGA and have therefore, been striving to push the party into internal disorder.

Chief Umeh however, frowned at what he called “the activities of some mischievous elements who use the social media to derogate aspirants and stakeholders who mean well for the party”,  noting that such is alien and injurious to the party and therefore, urge the perpetrators to desist forthwith from such act.

“Prof. Soludo is a party man, he has been in APGA for eight year, he is not a newcomer. He is preferred among other aspirants because he understands the fundamentals and basic needs of the people.”

Hon Nwankwo, who hosted the event described the day as of great significance in Prof. Soludo’s journey to clinching the APGA ticket for the November election, assuring the former CBN Governor of the support and votes of the people of Anaocha, Dunukofia and Njikoka Federal Constituency.
