Attahiru: Nigerians Mock As Buhari Shifts FEC

Buhari Attahiru

Nigerians have taken to social media to mock after President Muhammadu Buhari was reported to have postponed the regular meeting of the Federal Executive Council meeting and the Police Council meeting in honour of the deceased military officers who died last weekend.

No date was given for the postponed FEC meeting which holds normally on Wednesdays or if the presidency really intended a cancellation of the meeting.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad had given news of the development on twitter.

Immediately, twitter users still peeved by the absence of President  Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo responded with scant regard for what was meant to be an act of honour for the deceased army officers.

There were, however, few commendations for the president for the gesture.

Why PMB no dey follow us talk? Are we fighting? Is he angry with us? Does he not know that the voice of a leader has a long way in calming the citizen down? Is the presidnt too big to address the nation? A whole chief of army staff die no word from the president. How are the army

Thanks to the COAS for the out cry here. He would had his burial pass like nothing. Now you guys have to do alot to make up. Enjoy! Reduce fuel price too in his honour. The masses too have tried for him.

Medicine after death. stupid damage control. If Buhari like make him start another Ramadan fast or kukuma no baff for 30days self, it will not still remedy his thoughtless & ‘heartless felt’ singular act of not attending the burial of his late COAS & others braved soldiers.

MALIK @Malikkar78Karim

I weep for that costly mistake!

Methinks, the latest steps being taken were as a result of people’s disenchantment on poor handling from the presidency. Unfortunately, the “deed has been done” This damage control is even further exposing government’s ineptitude, because the vigor put into it is zealotic.

Of what importance is that?
