Breaking: One Killed, 200 Students Kidnapped As Gunmen Storm Niger School
About 200 students of an Islamiyya school at Tegina in Rafi local government area of Niger State have been abducted.
The abduction followed an attack on Tegina in the early hours of Sunday.
The number of students abducted could not be ascertained but sources said scores were kidnapped.
The victims were said to students of Salihu Tanko Islamic school.
However, two people were shot in the cause of the attack with one person confirmed dead.
According to a security source, many took cover to prevent being shot by the bandits.
The State Government said is still gathering reports on the attack so as to take necessary measures to secure the release of those kidnapped.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, was not available when contacted for confirmation and reaction.
