Rev. Chris Okotie, Shepherd Superintendent of Household of God Church, Oregun, Lagos, has been blasted over his comment on the demise of Pastor Temitope Joshua (TB Joshua) of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

Okotie on Tuesday called the departed televangelist a “wizard”, tagging his death as divine judgment.

He also mocked T. B Joshua’s disciples and those who have been mourning his exit.

Okotie on his Facebook page wrote: “Hebrews 1:13… Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool (Hupopodion/ Greek)

“The wizard at Endor who assumed the title Emmanuel has been consumed by divine indignation. And now his disciples bewail his ignominious exit.

No marvel, one-third of God’s angels followed the disgraced anointed cherub Lucifer!!

“Jehovah-Jesus our mighty gladiator has broken the head of the dragon with his mighty blows. He has descended from the mountain of spices with the fiery sword of his indignation. Glorious in his apparel and travelling in the greatness of his strength, he goes conquering and to conquer the adversaries of his church.

“Let those who swear by the Lord and by Malcham and the descendants of Haman, now tremble in fear. The day of the vengeance of our God has fully come to Nigeria. And they shall not escape. Operation Hupopodion (footstool) has commenced. More Power To You !!! Rev Chris Okotie”

At the time of publishing, there were 93 replies to Okotie’s post made around 10:30 a.m WAT.

A reply by Adekunle Adewunmi read: “This is an irresponsible statement from someone like you. He has impacted the world by his ministry and gone to be with the Lord yet you won’t let him rest in peace, I pity your church members who are blindly following you.”

Ahmed Olumuyiwa Ayodele: “Oga go and sit down!!! So when they mention men of God now, you too will stand up as one? I only pity your followers’ whom you have used your big irrelevant grammars to deceive.”

Anthony Opo Okonkwo added: “This is not Christ-like! It’s so abhorrent to mock a fallen soldier of Christ. Just stop!”
