Grammy Awards: Burna Boy Finally Gets His Grammy Award

Award winning Nigerian Afrobeat Superstar, Burna Boy has finally received his much anticipated Grammy award he won a couple of weeks ago.

Gwg earlier reported that he grabbed the award for ‘Best Global Music Album ‘ category at the 2021 Grammy awards when he beat fellow nominees Antibalas, Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar, and Tinariwen.

In a post sighted on his Instagram page, the Grammy winner sent tongues wagging when he flaunted a photo of the plague he had received from the recording academy.

Burna explained that all his parents wanted for their kids was to be exceptional rather than have material possessions like cars and mansions. He further explained that the prayers of his family has been answered as one of his sister got a first-class in Finance, and the other got a Distinction in Engineering and he has topped off the family achievements with a Grammy award.

My parents prayed for excellent children, not houses, cars or “things”. They asked my sisters for stellar degrees; one got a first class in Finance, the other got a Distinction in Engineering. They asked me for a Grammy, and here we are. I am a product of sacrifice! Thank God and thank you all again! ❤️

Several reactions trailed his comment section as his fans and ceklebrities trooped under his post and congratulated him on his achievement.
