Delta APC Welcomes Nwaoboshi, Hails His Courage

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta State Caretaker Committee, Prophet Jones Erue has welcomed the Senator Peter Nwaoboshi into the party describing him as a courageous, upright and dogged political tactician who speaks truth to power.

The welcome message from the Delta leadership of the party was upon the meeting between Senator Nwaoboshi and President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday morning following which the senator made a public declaration for the APC.

 GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Nwaoboshi’s defection to the APC becomes the first time that the PDP would have the minority of the three senators in the state at any time.

Nwaoboshi was taken to the president by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege representing Delta Central on the platform of the APC. The only PDP senator left in the state now is Senator James Manager representing Delta South.

Welcoming Senator Nwaoboshi to the APC, Prophet Erue, the chairman of the Delta chapter of the party in a statement made available to  GreenWhiteGreen GWG praised the lawmaker as democratic icon who has stood stood firm in the defence of democracy in the face of intimidation by anti-democratic forces.

The Chairman stated that Senator Nwaoboshi’s defection from the “tyrannical PDP to the Progressives APC family, is an attestation to the transformation initiatives of the current APC led administration’s impacts on the socio-economic wellbeing of Nigerians.”

Prophet Erue assured Senator Nwaoboshi of the unwavering support of the APC leadership in Delta State in the furtherance of his political aspirations.
