While briefing newsmen on Tuesday on the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the minister of justice eand Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, Abubakar Malami had disclosed that Nnamdi Kanu was arrested on Sunday due to “the collaborative efforts of Nigerian intelligence and security services”.

The British High Commission, spokesperson in his response to TheCable had disclosed that Nnamdi Kanu was picked outside of the UK.

“We can confirm that Nnamdi Kanu was not arrested in the UK for extradition purposes,” he said via text message.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Kanu following his earlier arrest was arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja and was granted bail after months in captivity.

The bail was provided by Senator Enyinniya Abaribe but fled Nigeria in 2017 after security men invaded his home allegedly looking for him.

He resurfaced in the United Kingdom from where he repeatedly directed the affairs of the secessionist group, mostly issuing directives through the group’s spokesman, Emma Powerful.
