Shehu Sani former Kaduna Senator has urged the Federal Government to respect the fundamental human rights of Nnamdi Kanu lead of IPOB.
Shehu Sani also urged the Government to accord him the right of a free and fair trial according to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“The fundamental rights of Nnamdi Kanu should be respected in compliance with the relevant articles of the constitution of the FRN.”
“His trial should be guided by justice, fairness and the rule of law and not sentiments, prejudice, hate, ill feelings, vengeance or bigotry”, he said.
As earlier reported by Gwg, Nnamdi Kanu was on Tuesday re-arrested and re-arraigned by the Department of State Security in Court before Justice Binta Nyako.
She in turn directed that he be remanded in DSS custody until his next Court appearance.
