Ini Edo Makes Public Apology As She Marks 20 Years In Nollywood
Nollywood superstar, Ini Edo has celebrated 20 years of her acting career praising her fans for standing by her through the years but apologizing that she would not be disappearing from their faces anytime soon.
In a post on her Instagram page, the superstar said she came as a teenager, learnt the ropes and had remained unflinching despite mistakes along the way. She, however, noted that the journey had been marked with success.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Ini Edo who has made more than 100 films is easily one of the most recognized actresses of the last generation and has swept many awards in that period.
Ini Edo who is 39, has been a judge for the Miss Black Africa UK Pageant and was appointed by the United Nations as a United Nations Habitat Youth Envoy.
Her first major film was the 2003 flick, Thick Madam, but her breakthrough came the following year with the release of World Apart. She earned a “Best Lead Actress” nomination at the 11th Africa Movie Academy Awards for her performance in the movie “While you slept”
Ahead of her 20th anniversary in the industry, Ini Edo went to Instagram saying:
I’ve been all kinds of mood today and these pictures videos and all your beautiful comments just literally lifted my spirit . Thank you so much and yes it’s been 20years of being in your faces. I came out here as teenager struggling to find my true identity. Made mistakes, made successes but what I never did was give up on myself . I will keep being in your faces so let me apologize

Ini Edo was married to an America based businessman but the marriage broke down due to irreconcilable differences.
