He said farm crops destroyed between last year and this year’s farming season were worth billions of naira by people he described as land grabbers.

Dantong stated this Friday while speaking with some reporters in his office over the ongoing farm destructions stating that the development potent danger for the rural communities in his constituency.

According to him: “As you all know, my constituency is 80% percent farmers who depends largely on farming as their means of survival.

“Of recent we have had a situation where Fulani militias would go to farm lands and cut down the crops. And we know that is just one agenda, there is an effort by these militias to take over the land of the natives.’’

The Plateau State Police Command through the Public Relations Officer ASP Gabriel Ubah confirmed the development stating that investigations are still ongoing to bring the papetrators to book.
