Delta APC Crisis Worsens As Cairo Emerges Leader Of ‘College Of Leaders’
The Cairo Ojoughoh-Victor Ochei inspired faction of the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has strongly disavowed a statement inspired by the Senator Ovie Omo-Agege-Jones Erue leadership that had cast aspersion on the former.
The Ojougboh-Ochei faction in a statement issued late on Monday also disclaimed Nick Ovuakporie as the party’s director of publicity saying that he is unknown to the party.
The denunciations followed a statement issued by Ovuakporie as director of publicity in which he warned Ojougboh, Ochei and others who were present or gave assent to the Delta North Senatorial meeting in Kwale last weekend.
The statement had also taken strong exceptions to the assertion by Ojougboh at that meeting where he affirmed that a mace snatcher would not be allowed to be Delta State governor.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Ojougboh and Ochei were in the statement further accused of being agents of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on a mission to destroy the rising momentum of the APC in Delta State.
However, in a sign of worsening crisis in the party, was indicated with the revelation of the emergence of Ojougboh as the leader of a 12 man-college of leaders of the party in Delta State that also includes Ochei, speaker .
The statement issued by Felix Okpako as publicity secretary said:

Victor Ochei, the former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, who is also one of the twelve man Delta State APC college of leaders, saddled with the responsibility to bring all APC leaders and faithful together and reposition the party to win elections.
(5), The party is using this medium to sound a note of warning to that imposter called Nick Ovuakporie, to henceforth desist from using the name of APC to write such rubbish and senseless articles, aimed at bringing the name of the party to ridicule and disrepute.
If this act of blackmail of the party continues, we would fetch out that impostor and institute legal actions against him and he would be brought to book.
(6), The party wants to also use this medium to apologise to our great leaders, Rt. Hon. Dr. Cairo Ojougboh and Rt. Hon. Barr Victor Ochei, for the embarrassment such blackmail of the state exco may have caused them, we assure them the party would hunt down that impostor and make sure such embarrassment never repeats itself.
