The lawyer said the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu was prevented from signing a letter seeking help from the UK consulate.
Recall that Kanu was rearrested in June. Nnamdi Kanuwho is facing charges bordering on treasonable felony following his campaign for the secession of Republic of Biafra, had jumped bail in 2017 after a military action, code-named “Operation Python Dance”, targeted his family house in Abia state.
On Sunday, Ejimakor said Kanu spoke on the importance of unity and tolerance when he visited.
“UPDATE: Today, I met with Onyendu at the DSS. We spent nearly 4 hours. My interaction with him was fulfilling,” the counsel had said.
“He’s cheery and looks forward to overcoming this predicament sooner than later. Again, he stressed UNITY and tolerance on all sides. He has you all in his thoughts.”
