Three special advisers of Governor Darius lshaku of Taraba State have defected to the All progressive Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The trio are Audu Ade, Francis Fidelis and Kyauta Shehu Lau.

They have all resigned their appointments. Their defection comes three days after “more than 50,000” supporters of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in southern Taraba senatorial zone defected to APC.

The chairman of APC in the state, Barrister Ibrahim El-Sudi, who received the three special advisers, said the party was gaining more support day by day.

He also revealed that the party had completed all necessary arrangements for the conduct of its congresses.

In his address at the stakeholders’ meeting earlier, the chairman of APC congresses committee in Taraba state, Alhaji Saidu Usman Dakingari, a former Governor of Kebbi, said he and his committee members were in the state to conduct congresses of the party.

He, however, solicited support and cooperation of members of the party to enable the peaceful conduct of congresses.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that earlier, a member of the National Board of Trustees of APC, Prof. Dalhatu Sangari, had received the 50,00 defectors into the APC in Wukari at a grand ceremony.

Sangari observed that the defectors came from the 52 political wards in the southern senatorial zone of the state.

“Today, a new chapter is opened in our great party here in Taraba.

“With great pleasure, we receive more than 50,000 persons mostly from the ruling PDP and other political parties who have seen reasons to join ranks with the party of the future.

“The APC is the future. People with foresight don’t need to be told the direction to follow. That is why we are witnessing this phenomenal influx into the party today.

“Let me assure all others who are still having reservations that the APC in Taraba is big enough to accommodate everyone.

“We have learnt our lessons from our previous outings and have put our house in order ready to take over power and deliver dividends of democracy to the people who have been denied this for too long now,” Sangari said.
