BREAKING: Pandemonium As Hoodlums Kill Policeman, Two Others

Hoodlums believed to be land grabbers and cultists have killed a policeman and two other residents in Lagos.

It was learnt that the suspected land grabbers and cultists killed the victims during a mayhem in Gberigbe town in Ikorodu area of Lagos.

The assailants were said to have killed three persons, including the policeman, who had come to maintain peace and prevent forceful takeover of lands in the troubled community.

However, the suspected land grabbers and cultists, including one Sola popularly known as‘Baba Esu’, have now been arrested by security operatives.

Speaking, the Secretary to the Orelade/Ladera Royal Family of Gberigbe land Olayiwola Akanmu, disclosed that a combined force of land grabbers and cultists started unleashing terror on the community after the withdrawal of some policemen, who had been keeping watch in the community since June 2021 following a signal from Abuja.

Akanmu further stated that the development opened another floodgate for armed robbers who have been terrorising the area since June.
