Promise Chisom Dike, a House of Representatives member representing Tai/Eleme/Oyigbo Federal Constituency of Rivers State has changed his party logo from umbrella to broom.

Dike in a letter addressed to the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, claimed the crisis in the Rivers state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) made him defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He also started in the letter that he is “finally home” while noting APC was the right party for him.

However, Ossai Nicholas Ossai (PDP, Delta), interjected, saying that there was no evidence to claims by the lawmaker who defected to APC.

He said the lawmaker should have informed the House ahead with clear evidence as he claimed in his letter.

Gbajabiamila ruled him out of order, saying that any member who is not satisfied can challenge the defection in Court.

Meanwhile, a former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, well known as FFK, has also joined the APC following a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

He was taken to President Buhari by the chairman of the caretaker committee of the party, Governor Mala Buni of Yobe State.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Fani-Kayode who also served as a spokesman of the President Goodluck Jonathan 2015 Presidential Campaign had been a hard critic of the president and had repeatedly disavowed any relationship with Buhari.
