Fans Slam Mercy Eke Over ‘Naked’ Birthday Photo Shoot

Nigerian media personality and actress, Mercy Eke was on Wednesday receiving harsh rebukes from fans after she set the social media platform Instagram on fire with a near-naked birthday photo shoot to mark her 28th anniversary.
It was an irony for Mercy Eke, who became the first female to win the BBNaija reality show in 2019. She had followed up that her attainment when in March 14, 2020, she received the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award for Best Dressed Female.
It was, however, a sort of low for many fans of the reality show winner when she left very little to the imagination in her photo shoot for her 28th birthday anniversary.
Mercy Eke had tagged the two photographs “Are You Ready?” While several applauded her for her audacity, many others, however, dammed her, saying that she didn’t need to parade her nakedness to show herself a star.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Mercy Eke won the 2019 BBNaija Reality show, a programme that has increasingly inflamed the ‘moral’ circles in Nigeria with the parade of nudity and other obscenities.
The Imo State born actress had as part of her birthday celebration posted two pictures in which she wore the same outfit.
While some of her associates in the entertainment industry including Iyabo Ojo, applauded her many apparently too embarrassed to react only with emojis fans from afar slammed her for debasing her person.
