Super Eagles Midfielder Ruled Out For Four Months Through Injury
Super Eagles and Watford midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo is set to miss the rest of 2021 through injury, the Hornets announced in a statement on Thursday.
The injury has also ruled Etebo out of Nigeria’s Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers against the Central Africa Republic
Etebo who is on loan from Championship side Stoke City, sustained the injury at the end of Saturday’s 1-1 draw between Newcastle and Watford.
The statement read: “Midfielder Peter Etebo tore a quad muscle towards the end of the Newcastle United game last weekend and is expected to be out for between four to five months.”
Etebo was introduced in the 75th minute against the Magpies but had started the club’s first four games in the Premier League this season.
