“Olu Jacobs About To Eat Eba And Ogbono,” Joke Silva Dismisses Reports Of Husband’s Death
Legendary Nigerian actress, Joke Silva, has debunked rumours of the death of her husband, Olu Jacobs saying that contrary to internet rumours that her husband was safely at home and about to eat eba and ogbono soup.
According to news making rounds on the internet, the veteran actor was rumoured to have died of an undisclosed cause. The rumour remarkably surfaced days after his wife, Joke Silva celebrated her 60th birthday anniversary days ago.
Rebuffing the news of her husband’s alleged death in an exclusive chat with The PUNCH, Joke Silva said her husband, Olu Jacobs was hale and hearty.
She said, “Don’t mind them, they’re just talking rubbish; don’t disturb your head. He is in the living room right now about to have Eba and Ogbono soup. Let them keep deceiving themselves. He is hale and hearty.”
Joke Silva and Olu Jacobs are about the most enduring celebrity couple in Nigeria’s entertainment industry with the two rarely showing any trace of rancour in their dealings with one another and with their colleagues in the sector.
On the occasion of his 79th birthday last July, Joke his wife of 32 years had said:
