Reactions Trail Arrest, Release Of Nollywood Star Chinwetalu Agu

Reactions have continued to trail the arrest and subsequent release of Nollywood star actor and veteran Chinwetalu Agu by soldiers for wearing what was deemed IPOB apparel.

Agu was picked up by soldiers on Thursday, October 7th in Onitsha, Anambra state, and was released on Friday, October 8th, after spending almost 24 hours in army custody.

His release was confirmed in a video message by the actor, alongside his industry colleagues who helped secure his release.

Some Nigerians took to social media to express their feelings, with most sympathising with Chief Agu over his ordeal, while some slammed the Nigerian Army for operating outside its legal duties.
