Former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani, has praised Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for his role in helping him in stopping the third term script for former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Speaking when he visited the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC in his Ikoyi, Lagos home, Nnamani said that Tinubu’s contributions to the growth of democracy and good governance in Nigeria were manifest.
“Your many contributions to the growth of democracy in Nigeria ‘stand strong’. Your role in NADECO and your efforts along with those of others helped in terminating military rule.”
“You helped many times in stabilising the country. You assisted me a lot during my time as Senate President and particularly in stopping the Third Term project of former President Obasanjo.”
During the visit, Nnamani presented Tinubu with a copy of his new book titled “Standing Strong: Legislative Reforms, Third Term and Other Issues of the 5th Senate.” The book is due to be presented to the public on Thursday, October 21, in Abuja.
On his part, Tinubu thanked Nnamani for the visit and congratulated him for documenting his experience in office noting that the ideas and thoughts in the book would be helpful for the country.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the visit by Nnamani followed visits by high profile individuals to Tinubu since his return from abroad a week ago.
Among those who have visited Tinubu were former Ekiti governor Ayo Fayose and former Ogun governor Gbenga Daniel.
