Manchester United lost control of their week eight fixture at the King Power Stadium as Leicester came from behind to serve the Red Devils their first defeat on the road in 29 league games.

A flurry of four goals in the last 15 minutes of the game turned proceedings against  Manchester United who remarkably had a good control of the game up to the last quarter of the game.

Mason Greenwood had put the visiting Manchester United team in the 19th minute. The goal was cancelled out by Youri Tielemans in the 31st minute.

Omen of defeat for Manchester United came in the 78th minute when Caglar Soyuncu put the home team ahead putting the visitor’s impressive invincibility record of 29 undefeated run on the road at stake.

The jubilation in the King Power Stadium had hardly died down when Marcus Rashford who had just come in as a replacement in his first game of the season equalized, putting the goal haul at 2-2.

A minute later, Jamie Vardy restored the lead for Leicester as the crowd in the stadium burst out in frenzy at the prospect of defeating Manchester United inside the King Power Stadium for the first time in three years.

That prospect was consolidated a minute into extra time when Patson Daka bundled the ball into the Manchester United goal off a corner kick putting the goal standing at 4-2 in favour of the home side.

It was not a good day for Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo who fluffed a couple of chances in a game that has now sunk the leadership prospects of the Red Devils who are now out of the first four on the league table.

They could sink further from their number five position after games by Everton, Brentford and Tottehnam.
