Ruthless Chelsea Reduce Norwich To Nothing With 7-0 Spanking

Chelsea returned an emphatic five star performance on Saturday to sustain their leadership of the English premier league with a 7-0 spanking of Norwich.
A hat trick from Mason Mount and one each from Hudson-Odoi, James, Chilwell and an own-goal was what Chelsea posted at Stamford Bridge with a team that did not have Chelsea’s star striker, Romeu Lukaku.
The goal tally is the highest from Chelsea in 11 years.
The top team in the league, Chelsea were three goals up at half time over Norwich which with only two points so far and no win came into the game comfortably at the last position.
The Chelsea team effectively positioned itself for most of the time in the second half inside the Norwich side of the field with just a few engagements inside the Chelsea half.
With the emphatic victory, Chelsea have undoubtedly sent out a statement to their title rivals of their intentions in the ongoing campaign.
It was remarkable that the sensational Chelsea outing was achieved without their key striker, Romelu Lukaku who is injured and also without Timo Werner.
Indeed, the outing for Chelsea could have climaxed with an eight goal but Hakim Ziyech fired over the bar to the relief of a hapless Norwich side as the referee blew the final whistle.
