Bandits Enter Abuja, Kidnap Four UniAbuja Staff
Bandits have breached the security precincts of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT and abducted four members of staff of the University of Abuja, Uniabuja it was confirmed on Tuesday morning.
The University of Abuja while confirming the development said that four members of staff and their children were abducted during the invasion of the University’s staff quarters in the early hours of Tuesday, November 2.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the University broke the news on its official Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
”Suspected bandits attacked the staff quarters of the University in the early hours of today.
Our Safety officers, in conjunction with security personnel, mobilised to secure the quarters.
We have report that four of our staff and their children were, nevertheless, abducted by the evil men. Efforts are being made to ensure their safe return. A sad day for us, indeed!” the statement read
The head of Information and University Relations, Dr. Habib Yakoob, also confirmed the development of bandits entering Uniabuja, however, reassured that efforts were on the way to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped individuals.
