Mixed Reactions As Chelsea Share Spoils With Burnley in 1-1 Draw

Table-toppers Chelsea shared the spoils with 18th-placed Burnley in a 1-1 draw on Saturday evening of Matchday 11 in the English Premier League.

The Blues took the lead through a 33rd-minute goal from Kai Havertz. Chelsea dominated proceedings but were pegged back by a Matej Vydra goal in the 79th minute. The result sees Chelsea extend their lead to four points, with second-placed Liverpool still having a game in hand against West Ham.

The result drew mixed reactions from Chelsea fans, with some heavily criticising the performance, while some fans were more understanding.

Can we not overreact tonight? I know it’s very annoying to concede late on and not get a routine win but it’s football, we won’t win every single game.

Chelsea will still be top by a point ahead of Liverpool, and that’s if they even win.

Barkley was arguably Chelsea’s best player on the pitch today and many Chelsea fans are still singling him out to blame for the result.
The same game where Havertz and and Odoi fumbled the chances to extend our lead. The double standards stink.
